Section 1/4 Homework Monday Night

Scientific Names!

Can you stump your classmates? Today we learned of Linnaeus' system of naming (binomial nomenclature). Find the scientific name of an organism and post it below. Make sure YOU know the answer-but do not post the answer!

POST THE LATIN NAME! DO NOT TELL US THE COMMON NAME (like dog, chimpanzee)

Do NOT use Homo sapiens (that is humans!)or one of the cat examples from the book.

Have fun!
