  4. I liked how mr.Cofee had to wear the gloves and when he held the wheel it was amazing how he just spun in place. It was also very interesting the way you could spin in two different directions i didn't know you could do that

    Ms.Kaplan,
I remember how when Jody and Mr.Coffee held the spinning wheel and you would turn the same way you held the wheel. Thats a force!
    Your student,

  8. One thing i learned when the Science mueseam came was there was enough force to push a pencil threw a would board. They got there fore by using a fire exstinguisher, the force gave the pencil the movement to go threw the board.

  9. If a spinning wheel is in your hand you will spin. If on a spinning wheel.

One thing I leatrned about from when the Science Mueseam came was the pencil thing. When they put a wooden bored and they put a pencil in the other end and then they turned on the fire exsinguisher and it went through the wooden bored.

  11. i remember that day it was cool when the dude broke the wood with the pencil. It used speed to brake it.

  12. I remember when the man shot the tennis balls to try to hit he buckets that were stacked on top of each other. The first few times, he failed to hit the buckets, but when he told us about force and motion, and he moved around the machine to angle it in the perfect direction, he nailed it smack in the middle of the buckets, and they toppled over.

  13. it was really cool when he spun the wheel and handed it to mr.coffee, when mr coffee turned the wheel in his hands he spun with it. it was really cool.

  14. Naneh P, i thought the science museam was fun. i learned that if ur on a wheel like mr. coffey and jody she wieghd less then him so she only needed 1 wheel to spin her and coffey needed 2 so he can go faster

  15. I learned that if your on a spinning wheel you spin but you need to also have a spinning wheel in you hands to make this happen

  16. One thing that i learned is that if you ever line/stack something up and space them evenly apart, they wont have an even beat, when you drop all of them at the same time. The reason for that is because the higher something is, the more speed picks up. The greatest amount of space has to be between the highest and the next one, and little by little decrease the amout of space as you get closer to the ground.

  17. I remember when the science guy put Mr.Coffey on the spinney wheel and whatever way coffey spun it would go that same way. From this I learned that if you want to that experiment you need to have a object going at a pretty fast speed like the wheel and the person that is on the wheel hold it.Before the expierement you have to like burn the rubber on a machine so it makes the wheel spin

  18. I remmember when they put Mr. Coffee on the spinning disk that you steer using a wheel. I still thing you should have gone, Mrs. Kaplan!

  19. Hi Ms. Kaplan, I remember when some people had a wheel and when they turned it, they would turn the same direction the way they held the wheel.

  20. Hi. I liked it that when the Museum of Science came that we learned many new things. One of the things that I learned is that the higher an object is at, it will go down faster than the same object but at a different speed. Such as we did with the metal plates and the pole.

  21. i remember when the guy shot the pencil through the wood

  22. I remember when the science guy put Mr Coffie on the spinney wheel, to do this he had to burn a little of the rubber on the tire wheel. After he have the wheel to Mr Coffie and it was cool how he could turn any way and the wheel would turn with him. The funniest part was when Mr Coffie almost fell off, while the wheel was spinning.

  23. Hopefully this is the homework. All most everythiong the persentator said about forces in motion we our now learning about in science class I thought it would be a lot better if we learned about it before hand so that we would know what he was talking about. I really liked the way he turned a everday objected into a lethal projectile. But I like the rollercoaster project even better beacuse it more creative.

  24. One thing I remember from the museum of science was when they shot a pencil that was going 200m/h through a peice of wood and the force that shot the pencil was coming from a fireextinguisher.

  25. I wish I could have been on the spinny wheel even though I would have got sick. I liked when Jared G got fooled and he ran back and forth confused like he was a chicken with his head cut off

  26. I remember when he talked about constant speed in the beginning and did the experiment with the lights and had people run along to try to match up with the lights. I remember learning how having a constant speed meant having things go in the same direction with the same speed, constantly.

  27. hi i really loved the spinning wheel thing and i wish we do something like that sometime soon

  28. i learned that energy is used everywhere and i enjoed the presentation

    ReplyDelete
  29. I remember when Coffey spun in the direction of the wheel. I enjoyed that as well as when such force was exerted that the pecil shot through the board

    ReplyDelete
  30. i remember when jody stood on the spinning platform and held the wheel and it spun her around! That was amazing!

  31. I remember Mr. Coffee spinning on the wheel, that was awesome. I learned that motion or force gets translated through anything if friction is less.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I learned that Acceleration=m/s squared. I still wonder why that is but I'm sure that we will find out a little later in the year.

  33. I remember at the science presentation when the pencil shot thew the wood board, a force pushed it threw the board and the pencil broke. The presentation was cool.

  34. from,Jonathan A
one thing i learned when they came was that the momentum of the spinning wheel if its going fast enough it can make us spin in the direction you turn it and if your steping on a something that can turn

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi, remember that we learned about the plates that fell down and how that had to do with gravity becuase it is pulling the plates down faster with every plate so, we had to set the plates closer.

    ReplyDelete
  36. i remember when mr coffey was spinning around in circles when he moved the wheel because of momentum

    ReplyDelete
  37. I remember how jody spun the opposite way she was turning the wheel. She had to wear the yellow gloves because she was going so fast it might rip off her skin

    ReplyDelete
  38. i liked doing the buzz buzz thingy

    ReplyDelete
  39. I remember when the guy from MOS stuck the electromagnetic ball to the spinning arm and asked us when to release it. at twelve, three, six, or nine (up, to the right, down, or to the left).

    ReplyDelete
  40. One thing I remember about that presentation was when Jared and Tatiana were running along with the lights. The had to keep up with the acceleration and the speed and it was really fun to watch. They did a great job, too.

    ReplyDelete
  41. hey mrs kaplan its me ryan barksdale i remmeber the museum of science put a ball on the spinning wheel which threw to jakadia i also remmeber when mr coffee was on that spinning wheel and he looked scared

    ReplyDelete
  42. It was very funny, when that guy started flickereing the light's, and the students had to chase after them

    ReplyDelete
  43. i liked the presentation it was fun to watch

  44. This is Mark Pacious, your best student you've ever had and ever will have. And one thing that I remember from the Forces + Motion presentation is when the guy had that wire and lights that would blink at a certain speed, and pattern, and how it would go back and Jared would be confused and everyone laughed.

  45. one thing I learned is that when you where on a wheel and when you held a wheel in youre hands it makes you spin and if you turn it left you spin to the left same with the right. that is force and friction. thats what liked about the museum of scince

    ReplyDelete
  46. I really enjyed and remembered when mr. coffey put on the gloves and held the spinning wheel and the man had told us if we had put our fingers on it without protection it could rip our skin off. I remember the only way to stop the wheel was wait or to use a thick cloth.

  47. I remeber when Coffy was on the spinny thing and he was spin while holding the wheel. Also that when they dobble the wheel strength that he was spinning faster.

    ReplyDelete
  48. i remember when the guy from the m.o.s. came and shot the pencil through the peice of wood and how he spun mr coffe and jody around in circles

    ReplyDelete
  49. i remember when the guy shot the pebcil through the wood. i thought that was pretty cool because he used speed to do it

    ReplyDelete
  50. this was a fun project

  51. I likes the trebuchet shooting a tennis ball at the buckets.I also remember the kids and Mr Coffee spinning on the wooden circle because of the momentum

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hey. I remember when Mr. Coffey stood on the wheel while holding another spinning wheel. The wheel he was holding made him spin around and the speed depended on how quickly he turned it.

  53. Is this what we're supposed to comment on today? I'm not sure. That presentation was really cool. I liked the part where he shot a pencil through a piece of wood. I wonder how far it would go if there was no safety shield?
